All students at Wired2Learn Academy (W2LA) have learning disabilities. Our students are smart and capable. They are not lazy, but they do struggle to learn some things. W2LA empowers students with learning disabilities to change the trajectory of their lives. Students are taught how to overcome learned helplessness. Our students are loved, challenged, and engaged by our staff. Our students are supported. W2LA is a place where students & staff share, fail, succeed, grow, cry, and laugh…a lot!

Position: Full Time

School year: Sept 7th-July16th. We are considered a year-round school. We are in school 180 days a year with several breaks during the school year.


  • Bachelor’s Degree in Psychology, education or related field, BS or BA degree. Most importantly, candidates must show evidence of accomplishment, innovation, and academic achievement. We are looking someone with for a passion for helping students succeed. We welcome recent graduates to apply.

Clinical Remediation Assistant Job Description

The Clinical Remediation Assistant will be trained to help provide remediation in reading, writing, and number sense to our students at Wired2Learn Academy. Our culture at Wired2Learn Academy is one where relationship is our most important core value. As a Learning Coach, we solidify an open and honest relationship with each student so we can empower and set them up for success. An assistant coach must share the belief that behind every challenging behavior our students may have, there is a need. It is our responsibility, as the coaches, to find out what that need is. As the clinician in remediation, you would not only provide students with the tools to strengthen their skills in an academic sense, but the skills to successfully maneuver emotionally as well. Education and Professional Requirements This position has the potential to become a salaried position after a year. Applicants must be willing to learn and grow so they can work into the position of Cognitive Classroom Learning Coach.

  • Implementing the Learning Coach’s lesson plans and maintaining daily classroom schedules.

  • Using a variety of instructional and assessment strategies, as directed by the Learning Coach, to meet individual student needs.
  • Maintaining communication with parents, staff, and faculty regarding the progress of students.
  • Ability to work well independently and as part of a team.
  • Ability to work well with students with various learning needs.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills to clearly explain challenging concepts, provide instructions and deliver feedback.
  • Ability to keep an open line of communication with the other Coaches in the Academy with a willingness to collaborate and take constructive criticism with the intention to learn and grow more comfortable in the role of an Assistant Learning  Coach.
  • Participating in events outside of the designated school hours.
  • Willingness to participate in school fundraising events.
  • Monitoring all break times and spend time outside during breaks-monitoring students and behaviors
  • Assist/facilitate various activities for the Brain Boot Camp that help parents experience/understand
  • Must be able to work Monday through Friday 10:00 am-3:00 pm.


Job Type: Part-time

Pay: $12.00 – $20.00 per hour
